Rain Garden Work Day in the Bronx River Watershed, 8.15.23

On August 15, 2023 the Bronx River Alliance and The HOPE Program hosted a Watershed Work Day in the Bronx at Starlight Park. The event brought together partners from the RAIN Coalition, community members, to steward rain gardens in Starlight Park that absorb stormwater and contribute to improved water quality in the Bronx River.

Rain Garden Work Day in the Gowanus Canal Watershed, 9.27.23

On Sept 27, 2023 the Gowanus Canal Conservancy hosted a Watershed Work Day at the 6th Street Green Corridor in Gowanus, Brooklyn.  The event brought together partners from the RAIN Coalition, community members, and elected officials, including Council Member Hanif and representatives from NYC DEP, NYC Parks, the NYC Comptroller’s Office, the NYC Green Fund, and local businesses to steward rain gardens that absorb stormwater and contribute to improved water quality in the Gowanus Canal.
